I remain heartbroken and angry at the preventable tragedy in Texas — and the devastating impact of mass shootings.

That’s why I’ve been fighting for years to protect our kids and our communities from mass gun violence.

I am proud that I put forward legislation to prohibit teenagers from purchasing assault weapons in Washington. The People ultimately passed that policy through initiative.

I am proud to have led a large coalition that passed Attorney General Request legislation to ban the sale of high-capacity magazines in Washington.

As long as I am in public office, I will lead the fight to ban the sale of assault weapons. [[link removed]]

I’ve taken on the NRA in court multiple times — and beat them every time. In fact, I’ve never lost a case involving common sense gun regulations. That includes blocking President Trump’s dangerous ghost gun rule — twice.
