Would teachers with guns keep school children safe?

In this weeks episode of the Freedom Corner Podcast, Rep. Dana Criswell outlines three suggestions that would keep school children safe.

 


- Lock School Doors - this is an easy step but sometimes the simple steps are the most important.
- School Resource Officers - School Resource Officers are law enforcement officers who are assigned to protect schools.  The state of Mississippi will help pay the officer's salary through the MCOPs program.
- Arm Teachers - School boards and the local sheriff should design a training program for teachers who volunteered to carry a gun in school.
 

No new laws need to be created and passed.  Local communities, parents and teachers must demand these simple steps are taken to protect our schools.
