John,
Earlier this month, progressive candidates notched impressive primary victories in Oregon and Pennsylvania against corporate-backed candidates. But this week, the political machines and corporate PACs fought back, and appear to have powered an anti-choice Democrat in Texas to a victory of less than 200 votes.
It doesn't take much to sway an election — especially when super PACs can spend freely.
The same forces that defeated progressives in Texas are now going to spend against me. We have to meet our end-of-month goal so that we're ready to take them on in the final stretch. Will you donate to help us raise $5,812 more by our deadline on Tuesday?
I know what it's like to come face-to-face with the full force of a political machine that's determined to silence progressive voices. I know just how hard it is to prevail over one.
But as we showed in 2020, it can be done. And we've been working to build an even bigger grassroots movement this time.
To keep it growing all the way through the June 28 primary, we need to continue to get our message out on TV. That's why our deadline on Tuesday is so important.
So will you pitch in right now? Every contribution matters in this final stretch.
Thank you,
Marie
