John,

I have the privilege of having a job where I get to travel and see the world. I love it. But there is no place I’d rather be than home in Minnesota.

Across the country, politics has never been more divisive. But in Minnesota, we have Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan working tirelessly to bring people together, engaged in real civic discourse so that we can actually get things done for the people of our great state.

That’s why I’m emailing you today. I made a show for 12 years that was pretty bizarre, but thinking about what would happen if our leaders lost this November is too much for me to stomach.

Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan’s first public fundraising deadline since the MN GOP endorsed what can only be described as candidates committed to changing the very nature of our institutions to lead their ticket is this Tuesday. I was informed we are still more than $35,000 short of their goal, so I offered to reach out.

John, will you join me to help them make up the difference? Pitch in anything that works for you today so we can keep moving forward – together.

Thanks so much,

Andrew Zimmern
