Friends — here in Nevada, we’re up against multiple extremist Republicans in the Governor’s race. And their strategy to try and defeat Democratic Governor Steve Sisolak is no secret.

They’re going to try to paint the worst possible picture of everything we’ve worked to achieve here in Nevada. False claims, character attacks, fear mongering. It’s all part of their plan to turn Nevada red this year.

From investing in education, to expanding affordable health care, tackling climate change, and protecting our fragile democracy, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made together, all while leading Nevada through the worst pandemic in a century.

Today, Nevada is:

• #1 for the best economic momentum in the country
• Second in the nation for job growth
• Generating 14% higher personal income than before the pandemic
• Shattering gaming revenue records month after month, exceeding pre-pandemic levels
• Surging in the tourism industry
• The #1 solar economy in the nation

When Republicans were attacking the Affordable Care Act, Steve increased access to affordable health care by making protections for pre-existing conditions permanent. We ended surprise billing, improved transparency around drug pricing, and established a patient protection commission.

We’ve increased funding for public education so that every child has a chance at success.

As governor, Steve prioritized working Nevadans. He signed legislation to raise Nevada’s minimum wage, increase pay for state employees, and enact paid leave for Nevadans.

We’ve been on the front lines in the fight against climate change. As Nevada experienced the impact of global warming firsthand — from drought to wildfires to deadly heatwaves — Steve worked to create clean jobs, expand the use of renewable energy, and make Nevada the #1 state for solar panels per capita.

Friends, no matter how our opponents try to spin it, these are the facts.

But our progress will come to a screeching halt if we don’t keep Nevada blue this next election. Election experts ranked Nevada as one state most at-risk to flip red and national Republicans are spending millions to make that a reality.
