This week, I had a chance to sit down with one of my good friends — former
Secretary of Labor Robert Reich — to talk about the state of the
progressive wing:

Long story short: the progressive wing is strong. Between the supporters
of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, nearly all of the energy and
policy ideas belong to us in this primary.
I’ve seen that energy firsthand. As a national co-chair of Bernie Sanders’
presidential campaign, I’ve traveled extensively in the early states. I’ve
met voters on the ground, and let me tell you, they’re inspired.
[ [link removed] ]Together, we’re building a progressive movement where everyone has a
place. Can you chip in just a few bucks to my reelection campaign so I can
stay on the road, and help elect Bernie Sanders as the next President?

We’re not taking anything for granted. We know that if we’re going to
defeat Donald Trump in 2020, we don’t need to just win back the white
working-class — but the entire working-class.
That’s why we’re fighting to build an economy that works for everyone,
after watching wages remain stagnant for over a decade. That’s why we’re
fighting for Medicare for All, so that no family’s entire life savings
gets wiped out by an illness.
That’s why we’re fighting for tuition-free public college, because higher
education should be a universal right — for everyone. These ideas are bold
in our modern age, but they shouldn’t be.
These were the dreams of leaders like FDR. The blueprint for an America of
the many, not the few. And if we stand together — as unapologetic,
courageous progressives — the America of the many can be our America.
Onward,
