John, statewide elected officials showed bravery in 2020 when they defied calls from my uncle and his far-right supporters to decertify the votes or alter the vote counts.

For this reason, I’m immensely proud to endorse Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for re-election.

In the coming elections, Michigan will be a ground-zero state for ensuring that all votes are counted properly and the results are accurately reported.

We’ve seen what happens when far-right radicals mobilize across the state in support of voter suppression tactics disguised as reform.

Dana Nessel and Jocelyn Benson were key figures in ensuring that the 2020 presidential election was carried out with fairness and reported accurately.

Even as Jocelyn faced radical right protesters gathering outside her home demanding a forensic audit, she and Dana remained steadfast in their duties to uphold their oaths to defend democracy.

Public servants like Dana and Jocelyn do some of our democracy’s most important work. We need to do all we can to help re-elect them and keep Michigan a state that leads by example.
