John —
Recently, Donald Payne Jr. claimed that he will hold corporations accountable.
But there’s a reason that every couple of days, we reach out to tell you about yet another corrupt corporate PAC that’s giving to his campaign — because a politician who takes money from corporations can’t possibly be trusted to hold them accountable.
And today, I’ve got yet another example for you: just this week, Rep. Donald Payne Jr. has taken donations from Covanta, a corporation that’s not only a major polluter, but a major polluter that tried to disguise a trash burning incinerator in Newark as an “energy plant.”
NJ 10 already has high rates of childhood asthma, and having companies like Covanta pump toxic chemicals directly into our communities isn’t helping.
But, it doesn’t seem like Payne Jr. cares — since he took Covanta’s money.

When the time comes to regulate corporations like Covanta, do you really think Payne Jr. will stand up and fight for us over one of his major corporate donors? Because I don’t.
That’s why I’m running for Congress, and that’s why I need your help today. Our LAST fundraising deadline before the June 7th primary is coming up, and we need all the help we can get to mobilize every voter who’s been left behind by Payne Jr.’s corrupt brand of pay-to-play politics.
Can you chip in $27 today to fight back against Payne Jr.’s corruption, fight back against major polluters like Covanta, and elect a real progressive to fight for our community in Congress? [[link removed]]
