I hope you're having a wonderful long weekend. My name is Levi Debose, and I just joined Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan's re-election campaign as Digital Director!

It’s my job to make sure we’re reaching Minnesotans and getting our message out online. You’ll be hearing more from me in the coming weeks as we scale up our digital presence, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.

For almost all of my adult life, I’ve worked to encourage people to vote for strong Democratic candidates. Why? Because I know Republicans want to take our nation backwards. Our opponents believe in some of the most extremist Republican policies imaginable — from being anti-choice, anti-democracy, anti-LGBTQ+, and anti-gun safety. They can’t be in power and we need to win.

But here’s the truth — and I know our team has said it over and over again: This election is going to be a tough fight. And building the digital program we need to win in November isn’t going to be cheap, which is another reason I’m emailing today.

I've been watching our online contributions take a nosedive over the past 24 hours (which isn't surprising given the holiday weekend), but if things don't pick up again soon, we'll fall short of our must-hit $150,000 public reporting goal on Tuesday.

I did the math, and if we can raise $7,000 by the end of the day, we’ll be back within reach of hitting our target. Can you pitch in to help us get back on track? Anything helps – $10, $25, $50 – whatever works for you.
