Maggie Hassan shakes a constituent's hand outside

Hello,

In 2016, I ran for Senate for the first time. We won – my Republican opponent called me to concede late the next day, and once the dust settled, we prevailed by a margin of just 1,017 votes.

Here’s a picture from just after we declared victory:

I say “we” won because no one wins by 1,017 votes - the narrowest margin in the country - on their own.

If each and every person who helped by donating, knocking doors, or calling voters hadn’t done what they did for our campaign, we would have lost.

Unbelievably, the stakes are higher now than they were six years ago.

The most recent public poll shows me down by two points to an anti-choice opponent, and political experts from Rachel Maddow to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight are saying I have a difficult reelection fight ahead of me.

And that was BEFORE Mitch McConnell's Super PAC announced $43 million in attack ads, with New Hampshire as a top target.

Knowing what the margins in my last race were, I can’t win – and protect Democrats’ Senate majority – without you. Yes, you, our grassroots supporters.

You’re a critical part of our plan for holding this seat, everyone, and I’m counting on you.

Please donate $3 or any amount that works for you to help us win in purple New Hampshire and stop Mitch McConnell from regaining a Republican majority in the Senate.

With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
