I helped to get money out of politics in Maine by writing and passing the first clean elections bill in the country. Clean elections in Maine means that our local politicians spend their time talking to Mainers rather than raising big money from special interests from across the country. That’s the way democracy should be.

But that’s not the way it works in Washington. As your next U.S. Senator, I’m going to fight with all my heart to pass common-sense reforms that put power back in the hands of the people. But I can’t do it without your help.
