Just in the last two weeks, we’ve seen Black grocery store shoppers in Buffalo, New York, school children and teachers in Uvalde, Texas, and Taiwanese churchgoers in southern California gunned down in horrific mass shootings.
This heart-wrenching loss of life is avoidable.
For a decade, the Assault Weapons Ban worked. While it did not stop all mass shootings, it did significantly reduce the number and saved lives. Just look at this chart from PolitiFact:
