John --

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! This weekend, we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country, and thank the brave men and women in our lives who continue to serve in the armed forces. We hope you are able to spend this time with loved ones.

As we reflect on the highly successful 2022 State Convention in Middleton this past weekend, we are excited about the road ahead of November. If you would like to join our efforts to re-elect Senator Ron Johnson, defeat Tony Evers, and elect conservatives at all levels of the ballot, sign up to volunteer here <[link removed]>.

As always, thanks for all you do!

- Team WisGOP

Last weekend, the WisGOP held our successful 2022 State Convention in Middleton, which was the most well-attended Republican convention in a decade! Ultimately, nearly 1,600 Wisconsin conservatives gathered in the belly of the beast in Dane County to share in conversations, hear from elected officials and candidates, and attend training sessions as we prepare for the election year ahead. Grassroots attendees also signaled their desire to allow statewide candidates to continue to make their case to voters ahead of the August primary while enthusiastically endorsing Senator Ron Johnson for re-election. You can watch the WisEye recording of the morning session here <[link removed]> and the afternoon session here <[link removed]>.

A new Marquette University Law School poll shows that Joe Biden’s approval remains abysmal in Wisconsin. According to Empower Wisconsin <[link removed]>, “Biden’s approval rating in the Badger State stands at an abysmal 42%, with 57% of respondents disapproving of his performance…The Democrat’s approval rating is at its lowest level, plummeting 16 percentage points since his high water mark of 58% (42% disapproval) in July. He’s been under water since September.” Given the continuation of historic inflation and a crippled supply chain, it’s no surprise that Biden isn’t winning favor in the Badger State.

Statement on Evers’ Delayed Request to Wisconsin Parole Commission <[link removed]>

Tony Evers has faced increased pressure and refused to answer questions on the decision by his Wisconsin Parole Board Chairman, John Tate, to parole a convicted murderer who who served less than 25 years of his 80-year sentence. This comes after Evers also dodged questions on whether he planned to fire John Chisholm and ultimately refused to hold him accountable. It shouldn’t have taken widespread public outrage for Tony Evers to finally consider doing the right thing, but Evers simply hasn’t taken public safety seriously and has given criminals more consideration than victims.

Wisconsin Family Action Attack Follows Inflammatory Rhetoric by Democrats <[link removed]>

Earlier this month, the Madison office of pro-life group Wisconsin Family Action was vandalized and attacked by arson likely in response to the leaked draft of the U.S. Supreme Court opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade. Democrats in Wisconsin have been in lockstep with their national counterparts, hoping to use the leaked opinion to inflame their most radical voters. In fact, when asked about the protests at the homes of Supreme Court justices, White House press secretary Jen Psaki refused to condemn these threats to public safety.

Liberal Hacks Define “Health Care” for Tony Evers <[link removed]>

While Tony Evers tries to pass off social engineering and big government programs as “health care,” he’s angering actual health care workers to the point of resignation. The Wisconsin State Journal reported on Tony Evers and Mandela Barnes’ so-called “Health Equity Council.” The group, which is primarily comprised of Democrat donors, is calling for government handouts and new taxpayer-funded offices for “environmental justice” and “transgender health and safety” under the banner of “health care.” This comes after Evers’ efforts to impose government-run health care in his most recent budget.
