Dear John,
This week has been one of heartbreak for our country,
state, and city. We watched
in horror the tragedy that unfolded at Robb Elementary School in
Uvalde, Texas, with many of us asking ourselves, “When will our leaders actually DO
SOMETHING? How much more can we take?”
We have another election in San
Francisco coming up on Tuesday, June 7. And I know, it is the third
election we have had this year in our City and it’s not even summer
yet. But this is our chance
to DO SOMETHING. Each
opportunity to vote is an opportunity to send a message loud and clear
to leaders who were elected to represent YOU, myself included. And it
all starts here at home.
I'm sharing my voter guide with you today so you know where I
stand on the critical races — in San Francisco and California — as you
make your own decisions. As
you consider the candidates and measures on the June 7th ballot, I
hope you will remember that your vote is your power. Your vote is your
chance to amplify your voice and the voices of those who don’t have a
seat at the table. Now more
than ever, your vote can make change.
Make a plan to vote today, there are
so many excellent candidates and important issues on this ballot.
Once you mark your ballot and sign the envelope, mail
your ballot (no stamp needed!) no later than Tuesday, June 7, to
ensure your vote is counted. You can also drop your ballot at any
polling location between 7:00am-8:00pm on Election Day.
Please vote and mail your ballot
today. Our democracy depends on it.
Sincerely,
Mayor London Breed
