Team,

On the second anniversary of the murder of George Floyd, President Biden signed an executive order aimed at overhauling policing.

This is an important step forward in police reform. By directing federal law enforcement agencies to revise their use-of-force policies, President Biden is using the power of the executive to reform some of the commonly used tactics that have led to the death of so many Americans.

I applaud the President and his team for taking the lead on this important issue and prioritizing a bipartisanship approach. We know, however, that the Senate needs to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act to make this reform more comprehensive. Will you add your name next to mine and let President Biden know that you too are in full support of executive action on police reform? [[link removed]]

ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]An important initiative set forth by the executive order is the creation of a national registry of officers fired for misconduct.

Too often we have seen officers disciplined for violating policies, and yet quickly re-hired by another police department. This is not right, and President Biden’s executive order starts the process of remedying this flaw in police recruitment.

Police reform is key to improving community relationships with police departments. With his use of executive power, President Biden is taking a step forward in ensuring we are able to work together to keep our communities safe. If you agree, please add your name next to mine! [[link removed]]
