Friend,
Earlier this week we told you we will continue to amplify the needs of the victims’ families and the community in Uvalde. I have been here on the ground and have learned from a community that channeled their grief into acts of love and service - whether that be amplifying the need for resources to victims, hosting cook outs at Jardín de Los Heroes Park, or gathering donations for the First State Bank of Uvalde.
There’s still so much to do and I wanted to make sure you had every opportunity to get connected.
Next Week/Follow Up Calls:
Texas Invest in Us Coalition will continue to hold daily update calls at 9am CT/10am ET to continue the calls to action at the local, state, and federal level. Next week the Texas Invest in Us Coalition will convene in a hybrid meeting to keep the momentum strong, more details to follow!

Spread Your Advocacy to Social Media
Tweet your Senators and local leaders and let them know we need strong #GunViolencePrevention bills to combat perpetrators of violence in our communities. We must prioritize the lives of ALL people. You can find their social media accounts here [[link removed]] .
Federal Support Updates:
The Biden-Harris Administration released a fact sheet in response to the immediate needs of the community in the horrific Buffalo and Uvalde attacks including a number of resources and federal social service programs available. Read the fact sheet here [[link removed]] .
Thank you for continuing to meet this moment with the urgency and outrage it warrants. I am committed to providing avenues for us to keep building towards actionable change.
In solidarity,
Kim Gutierrez,
