Deadly Shooting in Uvalde, Texas Leaves Citizens Baffled and Heartbroken

Texas Values is united in prayer for victims and families following the death of nineteen young elementary school students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Texas Values President Jonathan Saenz shared a video on Facebook, reminding followers about the true power of prayer to heal our country and prevent violence. The Texas Values team continues to pray for everyone involved, for law enforcement, hospitals, and schools. This attack on children was an attack on our own values as well, and we continue with our mission: to preserve and advance a culture of family values in the state of Texas.  To watch the video, click below.

Candidates Endorsed by Texas Values Action Win Big in Primary Runoff Election

The Republican primary runoffs saw great results for pro-life and pro-family candidates. Out of the 11 candidates endorsed by Texas Values Action for state-level office, 10 candidates won their races, making a 91% win rate!  The winners of the May 24th runoff election who were endorsed by Texas Values Action include: Dawn Buckingham for Texas Land Commissioner, Wayne Christian for Texas Railroad Commissioner, Pete Flores for Texas Senate District 24, Ellen Troxclair for Texas House District 18, Terri Leo Wilson for Texas House District 23, Caroline Harris for Texas House District 52, Carrie Isaac for House District 73, Stephanie Klick for House District 91, Nate Schatzline for House District 93, and Mark Dorazio for House District 122.
Now it’s time to unite moving forward for faith, family, freedom and life. We need strong candidates in the upcoming 88th Texas legislative session. The candidates who won their primary runoff on the 24th will need our continued endorsement in the general election in November. It is important that voters show up in November to make sure these solid Christian values prevail against aggressively leftist candidates in the November election.

Pro-Lifers Continue to Anticipate a Reversal of Roe v. Wade

The United States Supreme Court did not issue a decision to overturn Roe v. Wade this week, after much anticipation and speculation. Pro-lifers have been at the Supreme Court almost every day to pray and hope for a good outcome in the Dobbs v. Jackson decision. In recent weeks, a leaked document from the Court suggests that the Court is likely ready to overturn the 1973 decision that legalized abortion throughout the nation. Texas Values is calling on all Texans to pray for the overturning of Roe and a swift decision in the Dobbs case.

Texas Association of School Boards Breaks from National Group

Texas Values for years has pushed back against the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and we are glad to see them withdraw from the National School Boards Association. We still have concerns about other work that TASB is involved in, especially with the liberal influence they have on Texas Public Schools.
