Tomorrow is our November fundraising deadline — one of our most important deadlines of 2019. But this is about more than just hitting our online goal. It’s about sending a strong message back to Washington that we have what it takes to flip the Senate. Let me explain.

When Republicans are in control, they put the interests of the most powerful above ordinary folks like you and me. I have seen it happen time and again in some of the most insidious ways.

Passing a tax scam that disproportionately benefits the wealthy few. Rushing through right-wing judges who are chomping at the bit to swipe away our hard-fought progress. Threatening to throw our entire health care system into chaos and gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions. The list is endless.

Since Democrats took back the House of Representatives last year, they have passed bill after bill to provide our communities with much-needed solutions to the most pressing issues we face — from raising wages to protecting and expanding our health care to tackling the climate crisis.

Where have all of these bills gone to? I’ll tell you: They’re stuck in Mitch McConnell’s legislative graveyard.

I haven’t had a chance to vote ‘Yes’ on a single one of these bills because McConnell is holding the Senate hostage. And I’m at my wits’ end!

So, I’m fighting back by working to protect our Democratic Senators and elect more of them — enough to take back the Senate majority and send McConnell packing next year. If you’re as frustrated as I am, friend, then I’m asking you to join me.
