**Venue 1012 Summer Event Series Launches Memorial Day Weekend**
May 28 features Country Bash, Tribute to Veterans concert on May 29
The Village of Oswego will kick off the First Allied Bank summer event series [ [link removed] ] at Venue 1012 on May 28. Located at 1012 Station Drive near Orchard Road, the new outdoor entertainment venue offers a family-friendly location to enjoy concerts and movies. More than 17 events will be presented this summer
Country Bash [ [link removed] ], a six-hour country and classic rock music extravaganza, will open the season on Saturday, May 28. The Tim Gleason Band will perform at 4:30 p.m. with Wild Daisy at 6:30 p.m., and headliner Whiskeyfist at 8:30 p.m. Children under 12 are always free. Tickets are $15 for ages 13 and up and $10 for active military, veterans and immediate family. Purchase tickets online or at the door. Tasty food options from Hell?s BBQ and Darkhouse Catering, craft beer selections from Oswego Brewing, wine from Fox Valley Winery, and a variety of cold beverages will be available for purchase.
On Sunday, May 29, the free Tribute to Veterans event [ [link removed] ] features patriotic favorites by Celebration Brass at 5:30 p.m. and Springbrook?s Oswego Pops Orchestra at 7 p.m.
?Get ready to celebrate summer with tons of entertainment options for all ages,? Village President Troy Parlier said. ?Not only is Venue 1012 a great place to gather with family and friends outdoors, but this year?s outstanding summer season also offers endless opportunities to make memories with live music and family fun.?
The fun continues with free concerts featuring Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band [ [link removed] ] on June 2 and R-Gang [ [link removed] ] on June 30. Other free events include Movies Under the Stars [ [link removed] ] showing popular movies Encanto [ [link removed] ] on June 9 and The Game Plan [ [link removed] ] on June 23.
Headliner Hi Infidelity [ [link removed] ] will rock out with 80s favorites such as Journey, REO and Boston on June 11 along with opener Marlon and the Shakes laying down a mix of funk, pop and rock.
