Friends,

Once again, our nation is in mourning over another horrific mass shooting. Like you, we are heartbroken and furious to see these uniquely American tragedies continue to unfold in communities across the country.

As members of Congress, it is our responsibility to prioritize the safety and security of the American people – starting by putting an end to the gut-wrenching epidemic of gun violence gripping our nation. And right now, we have the power to enact life-saving gun safety legislation in Washington.

This year, NewDems have already voted to pass a bill to enact universal background checks on all firearm sales and close gunshow and online loopholes. Nearly 90% of Americans support commonsense gun safety legislation like universal background checks – and it’s time for Republican Senators to join Democrats and the American people in taking the necessary action to protect our children. The American people are calling on their leaders to act, and we intend to get this done.

It’s time for us to deliver commonsense gun safety legislation to President Biden’s desk for a signature. We can’t wait another day – we must act now.

Sending strength and support,

NewDems

In 2020, NewDem Members were the only Democrats to flip competitive seats from red-to-blue! In 2022, what happens in our districts will determine whether or not we hold onto our razor-thin Democratic House Majority. Join us today:
