John, with the right actions and policies, the economy can recover, and the
price of gas and groceries can go back down.
But nothing can be done to bring back what was lost in Afghanistan.
Ahead of Memorial Day, I want to remind you of Joe Biden’s most egregious
failure.
Less than a year ago, Joe Biden abruptly pulled U.S. troops out of Afghanistan
– leaving Americans behind, abandoning our international allies in the war and
the Afghans who risked their lives to help us, and gift-wrapping tens of
billions in military equipment for the Taliban.
He weakened our national security and emboldened our enemies, especially
Vladimir Putin, who suddenly saw an opening for his invasion of Ukraine.
The way Biden left Afghanistan was one of the most foolish decisions in our
nation’s history, and it can’t be undone.
But we can still honor everyone who has served our country.
Memorial Day always reminds me of my father, who fought in the Battle of the
Bulge as a Captain in the Fifth Armored Division under General Patton.
He was just one of tens of millions of Americans who fought for our country
and was willing to do whatever was necessary to protect our freedom and liberty.
When I see what Joe Biden has done to our military, and how he mishandled the
end of a decade-long war, I hope you are as outraged as I have been about his
dishonorable and dangerous actions.
A legacy centuries in the making is hanging by a thread, and America’s future
as the world’s leading democracy depends on patriots like you and me.
Ronald Reagan famously said, “if we lose freedom here, there is no place to
escape to. This is the last stand on earth” – and he was right.
Joe Biden is spending more money on progressive causes than he is on our
military, which is making the United States less prepared to respond to threats
at home or abroad. If we want to protect our national security, we MUST root
out Biden’s wasteful spending and make sure our tax dollars are spent on
strengthening America instead of our enemies.
Sincerely,
Tom Schatz
