I am devastated by the news of so many lives — children’s lives — having been cut short on Tuesday. Yet another tragic incident due to the lack of common-sense gun laws. My heart is with the families in Uvalde.

My team and I are sick and tired of living in fear for the lives of ourselves and others. We are enraged by the danger involved in a child’s attendance at school.

We cannot sit by and let children’s lives be taken because of our inaction. It’s time we get gun violence prevention laws across the finish line.

It’s not political; it’s practical. Real change needs to happen. We need to take action toward passing legislation to end the tragedy that gun violence so often creates.

We must put an end to this violence.
