The chair of the Republican Governors Association just came out to call for a full abortion ban with no exceptions.

This is the same Republican Governors Association that is doing everything they can to elect Paul LePage, and their position has never been more clear. Right now, Maine has some of the strongest abortion protections in the country. We need to keep it that way.

The Roe decision could be coming any day now. It’s time to step up and protect abortion access in Maine, not restrict it. Pitch in any amount you can to help elect Democrats who will stand up for reproductive rights in Maine. [link removed]

Paul LePage has indicated he’s ready to sign new abortion restrictions into law. Groups like the far-right, anti-abortion group Christian Civic League are proud to call him an “ally” in the fight “end abortion in Maine”. Does Paul LePage agree with the RGA that we should ban all abortions?

Banning abortion is only step one. Republicans around the country are already trying to criminalize abortion too. We can’t let Maine be next.
