Hello friend,

May has been a very busy month for us. If you haven’t heard yet – I am humbled to be appointed as Lieutenant Governor of the great state of New York.

I cannot thank our home district, NY-19, enough for all of the love and support you have shown us while in Congress. It is a true honor to get this chance to work with Governor Hochul and lead this state the same way I did in Congress – with love and compassion.

It is imperative for New Yorkers to unify – not divide – in the coming months. As we grieve with the families who lost their loved ones in horrific shootings this month in Buffalo, NY and Uvalde, TX, we know we have much more to do to address gun violence and white supremacy in our country. And soon, our state will be at the forefront as a haven for upholding the right to safe abortions and reproductive care once the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.

As Lt. Governor, I want to listen to New Yorkers from all walks of life and be the voice who will deliver everyday solutions for them. I look forward to meeting with more people this summer as my team and I prepare for next month’s primary elections. May has been a whirlwind for my family and I, but I’ve felt the excitement from many New Yorkers I’ve had the chance to speak with so far.

Thank you for all of the support and love you’ve given me and my family this month, friend. I’m ready to go, ready to work and ready to deliver real solutions for all New Yorkers.
