A school shooting in Uvalde has once again left families mourning loved ones -- including 19 children and two teachers.
This shooting came just days after another in Buffalo killed 10 people at a grocery store.
I’m devastated by the loss. I’m sickened by the violence. And I’m furious at my colleagues on the other side of the aisle who refuse to do something about gun violence in our country.
Their inaction is completely at odds with what voters want.
The majority of Americans support background checks, banning assault-style weapons, and requiring gun owners to safely store their firearms.
I’ve heard enough about my GOP colleagues’ thoughts and prayers. I want to see their actions.
I joined the House in voting for commonsense gun-safety reforms. Now, it’s the Senate’s turn to act. Will you join me in calling on the Senate to take action on gun violence ASAP?
Your friend,
Dutch
