Friend,
Our hearts ache this week following another devastating school shooting, this time in Uvalde, Texas. Many of us have held our families closer as we grieve with those who will never be able to hug their children again. I’m devastated for the children and their teachers, and their families who have suffered unimaginable losses.
The events in Uvalde came just ten days after the tragic events inside a Buffalo grocery store. This year alone, there have been 214 mass shootings in our country. Enough!
We must do more to protect our kids in school and our neighbors in every community, at play, in grocery stores, and even houses of worship. It’s past time to elect representatives who believe in universal background checks, red flag laws, and other common sense gun violence protections. I’m committed to doing my part.
We do this work not because it is easy, but because it matters.
I’m eager to continue to work alongside all of you to end this senseless violence in our communities. It’s too important not to act.
Thank you, and please take care.
Josh
