We’re officially on the road to November, folks. And with Election Day looming large, I’m going to need this team by my side.
Before I ask you to become a General Election Founding Donor to my campaign for Congress, I wanted to take a moment to let you know who I am and what I’m fighting for.
My name is Terri Sewell. I’m a proud product of America’s Black Belt and a Selma native. Alabama’s past inspired me to become a voice for those who can’t speak up for themselves. Alabama’s future inspires me to keep pushing forward for progress.
In my time in Congress, I’ve never been afraid to stand up for what’s right. And so long as there’s breath in my body, I will do whatever it takes to secure our voting rights, protect access to reproductive care, and create a brighter future for the next generation.
But I won’t lie to you: this is going to be one of the toughest election years for Democrats in recent history. I’m facing my first Republican opponent in over a decade.
Alabama’s only blue district could flip red if we don’t act right now to defend it.
We have too much left to accomplish to let a red wave wipe away all our progress. We have to act now to send leaders to Congress who will work for a future we can be proud of.
