John,

Something very special could happen if you chip in a donation to our campaign to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

You could become the 100,000th grassroots donor to our campaign to win in Iowa and protect our Democratic Senate majority.

That's right. Since we launched this campaign last summer, nearly 100,000 of you have chipped in whatever you can – an average of $32 at a time – so we can retire Sen. Grassley, flip this seat blue and virtually guarantee Democrats holding on to Senate control.

When I began this race, I was determined to win the grassroots way. You see, Sen. Grassley has changed. He spends his time cozying up to lobbyists and special interests, fighting against the things that would make a difference to working families, like lower prescription costs or protections for our workers and unions. He's forgotten who he works for, but I never will.

Together, with a movement that's 100,000 grassroots donors strong, we will defeat Sen. Grassley – but we're up against national Republicans who have $44 million in the bank to attack competitive challengers like me. It's why we can't slow down for a second. So please, will you chip in a donation of $5 or whatever you can spare today to help me flip this seat blue? You could become our 100,000th grassroots donor, and whatever you give will fuel our movement to defeat Sen. Grassley and fight for working families!

It means the world to have your grassroots support. Thank you.

– Abby
