The first days after a mass shooting are among the most critical. We have to rise up and show our commitment to ending gun violence now, while all eyes are on this story. Will you rush a donation right now to help us pass life-saving legislation and end gun violence?

John,

I'm still shaken by this week's indescribably tragic shooting in Uvalde, Texas. 19 children and two teachers are dead. Their families and an entire community are devastated beyond belief.

I've had enough, and I know you have too. That's why I'm doing everything in my power to speak up and finally make a change happen. Being a gun violence survivor means this fight is deeply important to me – it's why I can't allow more people to be murdered and more families to be changed forever by doing nothing.

As a gun violence survivor myself, I can understand how these shootings tear families apart. But condolences and empathy aren't sufficient. We must channel our collective outrage into meaningful action. Right now there is legislation in front of Congress that would prevent future mass shootings. Yet 46 senators — 46! — refuse to even consider it because they're so beholden to the NRA.

If we're going to take on the NRA and get gun-safety legislation through Congress, we've got to beat them at their own game. Brady understands how to advocate for gun violence survivors in Congress — because they've done it before. That's why I'm doing everything I can to help them out.

But here's the deal: Brady is a nonprofit organization — meaning their work is powered by grassroots donations from folks like you. Since you're reading this, I know you already support our mission to save lives from gun violence, but I'm asking you personally to help fuel this essential work by making a donation of $25 or more now.

Please, if we're going to succeed in overcoming the gun lobby to pass crucial life-saving reforms, we need you with us. As a society, we failed the 19 kids from Uvalde and the educators who gave everything to protect them. Now, we must honor them by turning our grief into action.

Thank you so much,

Coach Kerr
