Hi friends, In less than two weeks from now, voters across New Mexico’s 2nd congressional district will make their voices heard in the primary election and determine who will take on far-right Rep. Yvette Herrell in the November general election. And less than one week from now, our campaign faces our final end-of-month deadline before this major milestone. Since Herrell flipped this seat from blue to red in 2020, she’s gone on to oppose countless legislative solutions to problems facing our district. She voted:
Her first vote in Congress was against confirming the presidential election results, and from there, she’s pushed further lies about the election and dangerous conspiracy theories about COVID-19, and buddied up with other Republican extremists like Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene. Herrell is far too extreme for NM-02 — but the good news is, she’s the only remaining Republican representative for New Mexico in Congress, and redistricting has given us a massive opportunity to flip this seat. Our race has been rated a toss-up by Cook Political Report, and we’re one of the DCCC’s critical Red to Blue campaigns needed to defend our House majority. Together, we can take this seat back, save Congress from a Republican takeover, and start passing more solutions to the issues our communities face every day.
