Our hearts are with the families in Uvalde, TX and Buffalo, NY impacted by recent gun violence – as well as the more than 200 other communities that have experienced mass shootings in 2022.
Gun violence is an epidemic. The problem is bigger than any one person, community, or piece of legislation. But in moments like these, we can make a difference by coming together to support those who have been impacted directly.

This movement is fighting for a future where voters can elect leaders who feel accountable to their constituents and not special interests -- leaders who will take action to protect our communities from this gun violence epidemic.
We cannot stand by idly as defenders of the status quo tell us we shouldn’t organize for change in the wake of devastating gun violence.
In 2019, A.G. Holder said: “This is a time for our elected officials to do what’s right and protect the American people. Simple. It’s also a time for the people to get directly involved -- demand change.”
He doubled down on that message this week -- three years later. Because you can draw a direct line between gerrymandered lines in states like Texas and the lack of action on gun violence.
