Revised Growth Numbers Show Economic Crisis Even Worse Than Originally Projected - The Biden administration says the economy shrank by even more than initially estimated due to a ‘resurgence of COVID-19 cases’ and a decline in ‘government pandemic assistance payments.’ This spin marks a continued refusal by this administration to admit the pain felt by families and businesses today is directly related to misguided, unnecessary—and in many cases, unlawful—restrictions on personal activities, community life, and commerce under the guise of public health, combined with the massive federal spending and central bank money printing in a unprecedented, negligent attempt to mask over the consequences. We are now feeling the results with a shrinking economy and soaring prices. Heritage Experts: Joel Griffith and EJ Antoni

The Justices Didn’t Lie About Roe v. Wade – and Democrats Know It  - Within hours of the publication of the leaked first-draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization … Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) issued a statement accusing “Republican-appointed Justices” of having “lied to the U.S. Senate.” Two days later, Schumer identified the “lie” as “misrepresenting their views” during their confirmation hearings “on respecting precedent when it came to decisions like Roe.” There is definitely some serious misrepresentation going on about what was said in those hearings about Roe and Casey, but it’s not coming from the Justices. How the Fed has set our economy up for disaster - For over a year, the Federal Reserve ignored myriad warning signs and continued injecting money into the economy. The result was the appearance of robust economic growth and a surge in demand, especially in the labor market, which ushered in decades-high inflation. But as the Fed belatedly raises rates, the veil is falling, and financial markets with it. Oscar Wilde’s "The Picture of Dorian Gray" offers a striking parallel to our situation. The novel’s eponymous protagonist has a portrait that ages and decays while he remains youthful and vibrant. But his health is an illusion, while his portrait — hidden from view — contains the truth.  President Biden’s “Equity Action Plans” Reveal Radical, Divisive Agenda - Race-based policies are anathema to the ideals of the United States, and the nation made them illegal in 1964 with the Civil Rights Act, signed by President Lyndon Johnson. The act finally put into operation the 14th Amendment’s promise of “equal protection of the laws,” which was adopted in 1868. The Biden Administration’s Equity Action Plans trample on these ideals and laws, and Congress must stop them from being implemented. How Policymakers Can Address Baby Formula Shortage – The Biden administration and Congress must immediately end harmful policies that prevent the market from meeting the needs of American families. This shortage is an utter failure by the Biden administration to heed warnings last year about the coming shortage, or work with Congress on reforms to prevent it. It is also a real-world, tangible consequence of Biden’s reckless economic policies. The administration failed to take meaningful action to mitigate the coming shortage from last September through February, by which point out-of-stock rates had hit 26%. The Food and Drug Administration also pressured Abbott Nutrition to close its Michigan plant, without first ensuring that an adequate supply of formula would be available. Instead of solving their own crisis, House Democrats passed a messaging bill that would only send more money to the same regulators in D.C. that shut down production. Two Years In, Black Lives Matter Has Prompted More Americans To Reject White Guilt - Today marks two years since the killing of George Floyd, and one thing can be said with certainty: the committed Marxists who created Black Lives Matter and orchestrated the violent disorders that upended our cities in 2020 have been incredibly successful at deeply altering life in this country. And not for the better. That should not surprise in the least those who have followed closely what the BLM founders have said and done. “Changing how we’ve organized this country … dismantling the organizing principle of this society,” as BLM architect Alicia Garza put it in 2019, has always been the goal.
