Tabled resolutions
We are living through unprecedented times. Not only have we faced the
COVID-19 crisis and more alarming news about the climate crisis this year,
but we are now facing war on the European continent. The Council brings
together our Green family to decide on a joint political trajectory for the
next period ahead. This Council's resolutions, which put into writing our
COMMON POSITIONS and are voted on at the event, tackle topics that are on
the forefront of the Green agenda.
The draft resolutions, tabled by member parties and groups across Europe,
will be debated and VOTED ON BY DELEGATES during the Council. The final
resolutions, which will represent a united Green position on the issues,
will be published after the event.

THE GREEN SCREEN: 'MY FAVORITE WAR'
The Green Screen is coming to the Council! This month’s film is ‘My
Favorite War’, an ANIMATED DOCUMENTARY recounting the personal story of
its director, Ilze, who grew up in Latvia during the Cold-War USSR. It is
an exciting coming-of-age story about finding one’s own identity, truth
and loyalty.

The movie screening will be followed by a DISCUSSION with Ilze Burkovska
Jacobsen, director and scriptwriter of ‘My Favorite War’, and Kaspars
Vanags from Progresīvie. The debate will explore Latvia’s struggle for
its own independence and identity through the lens of memory politics, and
how this relates to Ukraine’s own fight today for freedom and
self-determination.
