Our first monthly fundraising deadline is coming up fast, and here’s what keeps me up at night right now:
I hope we’re not too late. We launched The American SOS Project only a few weeks ago, and we’re simply not yet ready to mobilize in the states where we need to stop Trump candidates.
So I asked my finance team what we need to get on track to compete aggressively in every battleground state where Trump has a crony in the race, and here’s what they told me: $300,000 in the bank by the end of the month.

Secretary of state races tend to fly under the radar for most voters, and that’s a big problem in a year like this. There’s no indication for voters that a candidate on their ballot believes in the Big Lie.
It’s our job to expose candidates who pledge allegiance to Donald Trump. We need voters to know who’s running to oversee their elections not because they want to make sure they’re run fairly, but because they want to make sure Donald Trump has a leg up in 2024.
When voters know the truth, the data suggests that Trump’s hand-picked candidates will lose. The only question is whether we’ll have the resources to get it done.
