John,
Yesterday, Sunrise’s Executive Director Varshini reached out to give an update on Jessica Cisneros’ race — and if you missed it, here’s the TL;DR: it’s not over yet.
With only a few dozen votes separating Jessica Cisneros and Henry Cuellar — the NRA’s and Big Oil’s favorite Democrat — the race in TX-28 will likely move to a recount. But before that, it’s important that we reach out to voters in TX-28 whose mail or provisional ballots were rejected to ensure every vote counts through a process called “ballot curing.”
John, these next 6 days will be crucial in determining the outcome of this race — so it’s important we start out strong by making sure we have all the resources we need. Will you split a contribution of $10 or any amount between Sunrise and Jessica’s Recount Fund right now to help us make sure every vote is counted in TX-28?
If you've stored your info with ActBlue Express, we'll process your split contribution between Sunrise and the Jessica Cisneros - Recount Fund instantly:
The establishment has thrown everything that they had — including millions upon millions of dollars — at this race. This race is as close as it is because of what our movement has built.
And while Henry Cuellar can continue to rely on his corporate donors and the Democratic establishment to carry him through a potential recount, Jessica is counting on this grassroots movement.
Sunrise will continue to stand by Jessica no matter what happens — but we need to ensure we have a new bucket of resources to get us through the ballot curing process and a potential recount. Split a contribution of $10 or any amount between Sunrise and Jessica's Recount Fund so we can help Jessica’s campaign make sure that EVERY vote is counted.
Thanks, John. This isn’t over yet.
Paris, Sunrise
