This redistricting scheme slices Democratic voters from a swing district in the Kansas City area represented by Rep. Sharice Davids, giving Republicans an advantage as they try to take the House majority.

Rep. Davids serves as the only Democrat in the Kansas congressional delegation. As the first Native American woman elected to Congress, she is a powerful force for good governance in the House.
