We’ll be blunt: this is big news for Rhode Island. We had high expectations… and yesterday we got our wish. The state legislature and Governor Dan McKee made a joint decision to legalize marijuana! [[link removed]]

I promise we aren’t just blowing smoke. Rhode Island is now the 19th state in the country to legalize recreational marijuana. [[link removed]] This legislation is good for our economy, our small business community, and our efforts to bring an end to the devastating War on Drugs. When the bill reached his desk yesterday, signing it into law was a no brainer.
Governor McKee is also committed to raising wages, strengthening labor unions, protecting women’s rights, and setting Rhode Island up for long-term economic success.
