The Democratic Primary between corporate Democrat Rep. Henry Cuellar and progressive Jessica Cisneros in Texas's 28th District is too close to call, well within the margin for a likely recount.
Jessica trails by just 177 votes, with more mail-in and provisional ballots still outstanding.
This district is no stranger to recounts. In the initial count of the 2004 Democratic Primary for Texas's 28th District, Henry Cuellar trailed Rep. Ciro Rodriguez by 145 votes.
After a recount, Cuellar won his first term in Congress by 58 votes, spending the next 18 years voting reliably against women, our planet, and commonsense gun laws.
Over 5,000 Six PAC supporters have raised nearly $75,000 to help Jessica win. Now, we're working to ensure that EVERY vote is counted by raising for Jessica's recount fund.
Texas's voter ID and mail-in ballot laws are among the strictest in the nation.
This leads to high rates of provisional ballots cast by voters who didn't have one of the acceptable IDs on them, and rejected mail ballots.
These voters have just a few days to "cure" their ballots with local elected officials and ensure that they count. Your donations NOW will help Jessica's campaign reach voters with rejected ballots.
And, your donation will help cover Jessica's legal fees once a recount is underway.
Thanks for standing up.
