John,
This weekend marks the unofficial start of summer across the US. It's the first long weekend of (hopefully) many and it's a great time to travel to new places, see new things and be outside with friends, family and pets. I am excited to get out on my annual backpacking trip with friends and get away for a few days!
However, sunshine and warmth does not mean safe air. Summer along the Wasatch Front means recreation in pollution. We cannot simply write bad air off as a winter issue, we must continue to hold those in power accountable year-round. The Primary Election is just around the corner, and we have the chance to get the right people into office. We must elect those who will stand up for our health.
At o2 Utah, we work with candidates across the Wasatch Front to vet and support those who will be champions for clean air. We have many tools to support candidates, but did you know that o2 Utah has a PAC? That's right, we are using the corporate playbook against those who benefit from inaction on air quality. The "Fresh Air PAC" is a powerful means to boost strong candidates and move to a healthier environment for all.
The o2 Utah team is out pounding pavement for our endorsed candidates as we speak, But we need your help. Please consider donating $25, $50, or even $100 to our PAC and strengthen a powerful tool to amplify YOUR voice. Your donation will directly impact key political outcomes and show that o2 Utah speaks for the people of Utah when we say CLEAN AIR FOR ALL.
Have a VERY good weekend, enjoy the start to summer the best way you know how, and consider your part in empowering leaders for change. Donate to the Fresh Air PAC today.
