Like you, we're heartbroken over the news out of Uvalde, Texas. 21 people – including 19 young children and two of their teachers – were killed yesterday in a horrifying mass shooting.

We're devastated for the victims, their loved ones, for their community, and for our country that has once again suffered a terrible tragedy as a result of gun violence.

Let us be clear: We owe it to Uvalde – and to all of the communities impacted by senseless acts of gun violence – to take action. Words are not enough: Congress must act now to pass commonsense gun safety reform measures.
