John,

The loss of 21 innocent lives yesterday in Uvalde is yet another horrific
example of a uniquely American problem — mass shootings.

Until we take serious action and pass strong gun violence prevention
policies — like universal background checks, an assault weapons ban and
regulations on the sale and transfer of guns — more and more Americans
will find themselves in the shoes of the families and friends of the
victims in Uvalde.

The Republican party has made clear that they will not vote to pass any
kind of legislation to enact gun reform — no matter the consequences.

John, our only hope for passing gun reform in this country is
to abolish the filibuster, but Republicans and corporate “Democrats” like
Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, refuse to defy their corporate donors, for
whom no body count is worth ending the filibuster.

[ [link removed] ]John, enough is enough. Republicans and corporate
“Democrats” alike are standing in the way of progress and protection of
lives across the country. Stand with us to demand Congress pass gun reform
immediately.
