HYR Welcomes the NRA 2022 Annual Meetings & Exibits Expo to Houston

The NRA is hosting its annual Meeting & Exhibits in Houston this year, and HYR has been invited to attend!

Join us as we attend a series of events, including visiting the exhibit hall and attending the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum, which will feature keynote speakers including Governor Greg Abbot, Governor Kristi Noem, and President Donald J. Trump!

After the Leadership Forum, we will be heading to nearby Casa Blanca Lounge for a special happy hour hosted by the NRA!

NOTE: Anyone wishing to attend the ILA Forum on Friday may do so if they sign up as a member for $10 onsite. In such case, plan to arrive by noon.

When: Friday, May 27th - Sunday, May 29th

Cost: $10 (onsite for ILA Leadership Forum)

Location: George R. Brown Convention Center

HYR Serves: 9th Annual Flags for Fallen Vets

For the ninth consecutive year, and since the inception of Flags for Fallen Vets, the Houston Young Republicans will be volunteering for the Annual Memorial Flag Placement at the Houston National Cemetery.

Over 800,000 veterans have been laid to rest at 136 national cemeteries across America. Houston National Cemetery has 65,000 vets interred in its hallowed ground.

Please be prompt! Flag placement will begin at 8:30 AM.

NOTE: Please bring a 12 inch ruler and a screw driver (4 inches is the depth) to place the flags in the ground.

When: Sunday, May 29th at 8:30 AM

Location: Houston National Cemetery (meeting at Columbarium Section C-1; see map on Facebook event)
