Dear John,
We are all devastated and anguished over the senseless and incomprehensible murder of nineteen children and two adults in Uvalde, Texas. Often, at times like this, the first question people ask is, "why?"
Perhaps, why would anyone do such an evil thing? Or even, why would God allow this to happen? And that's understandable...
However, the question we must ask is a "Who" question... Who should I turn to? We should all turn to God...
- Turn to Him for comfort. In 2 Corinthians 1:3, the Bible tells us that He is the "God of all comfort."
- Turn to Him for understanding. Psalm 34:18 states, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
- Romans 10:9 tells us, " If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Not only is the God the answer; He is the only answer. America is in desperate need for God to intervene and transform hearts and minds. Please join me in prayer for our nation as well as for the relatives and friends of those whose lives were taken in Uvalde.
God Bless,
Brad Dacus
