Follow along from home: Register to join the June conference virtual livestream
While hundreds of CCL volunteers will be heading to D.C. in June for our national conference, CCLers who won’t be traveling can join the fun from home. This virtual version of the conference will be hosted by Brett Cease, Senior Director of Volunteer Education and Engagement. Online attendees will be in a virtual lobby and will be able to chat with one another. Volunteers who register can look forward to a host of panels and seminars, some of which will be recorded, and others that will be live-streamed during the conference on Zoom from June 11 - 13. Here are just a few of the live events that you can look forward to tuning in to:
- The Climate Advocate Training Workshop will help new and old volunteers alike understand CCL’s methods and vision.
- Lobby training with Dr. Danny Richter, CCL VP of Government Affairs will reflect on this Congress and bring us up to speed on any current climate action in Congress. He’ll also share his perspective on the road ahead for carbon fee and dividend and other key climate priorities.
- A film screening of "Climate Emergency: Feedback Loops," which is a series of five short films emphasizing why climate scientists have felt increasing alarm.
- Keynote speeches from guests like Alex Flint, Executive Director for the Alliance for Market Solutions, and former Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources. Flint will share his perspective on the process of budget reconciliation, how a carbon price can fit in, and future opportunities for carbon pricing policy.
The virtual portion of CCL’s June Conference will be on Zoom Events. To register for Zoom Events, you must have at least a free Zoom account and you will be prompted to log in to your Zoom account. If you don’t already have one, please sign up for a free Zoom account before registering. There’s so much to do and see virtually, even from the comfort of your own home!
