Hey John,
Like you, our team is still processing the news of the devastating shooting in Texas yesterday and the aftermath of the shooting in Buffalo eleven days ago.
We are living through incredibly difficult times. And I am so grateful that even in the midst of our collective grief and loss, 320 of you showed up last night to be part of something bigger than yourselves. Thank you to everyone that was able to join us. If you missed the event, we recorded the training and you can watch it here.
We covered lots of information so I wanted to break it down for you. Here’s your Summer 2022 to-do list. →
1. Download the Summer of Action Guide to get step-by-step instructions to plan your voter registration activity, to speak with voters, to help them register to vote and/or check their registration, and more.
2. Host a voter registration event during Pride Month: When We All Vote is encouraging our volunteers and supporters to get organized and register voters with PRIDE in June. Join us by organizing voter registration drives!
3. Sign up to register voters during our Juneteenth Weekend of Action: Juneteenth honors the date that 250,000 Texan slaves learned that their freedom had been secured by the Emancipation Proclamation— two full years after it was signed. We are going to honor this Juneteenth by registering as many voters as possible. Join us and host an event during this important weekend.
This month is critical for organizing and engaging community members and creating the change that we want to see in this country.
Thanks again for joining us. I’m honored to be in this movement for change with you.
