Hello –

Nineteen children and two teachers are dead today as a result of another mass shooting. Another community will never be the same.

I’m heartbroken for the children and their families. I’m praying for their loved ones and their community. Above all, I’m devastated that we as a country have allowed this to happen again.

Our children should be safe in their communities. Schools, churches, grocery stores, movie theaters, spas, shopping malls — places that should feel safe — have become places of fear and tragedy.

This cannot continue.

We owe it to Uvalde, to Buffalo, and to so many more, to protect Americans from senseless acts of gun violence. Words are not enough to honor the victims and survivors. We can, and we must, take action. I promise you I am with you in this fight.
