There’s now less than a month until Election Day, and ballot dropboxes open this week! As we get into the final stretch of the election, DC WFP is excited to share our two final endorsements in June's primaries.
DC WFP is excited to endorse Charles Allen for Ward 6 Councilmember, and Lisa Gore for DC Council At-Large. Donate to Charles, Lisa, and all of DC WFP’s endorsed candidates today.

As chair of the DC Council’s Judiciary Committee, Charles Allen has been a consistent partner on efforts to decenter police and improve DC’s justice system. He has been a champion for communities in Ward 6, and we’re excited to support him for re-election.
Lisa Gore is an ANC Commissioner and retired federal investigator who has worked on housing issues for decades. Lisa was a member of DC WFP’s 2021 Rise Up & Run cohort, which worked to build the bench of justice-oriented candidates and campaigners running in DC. Lisa won the overwhelming majority of support from DC WFP members during our endorsement vote, and we are proud to support her for DC Council At-Large.
Charles and Lisa join Robert White, Erin Palmer, Brianne Nadeau, and Zachary Parker as our endorsed candidates for June’s primaries. Donate to support all our endorsed candidates in one easy place.
Finally, we are grieving and angry about the murder of schoolchildren in Texas yesterday, Black people in Buffalo last week, and ongoing gun violence here in DC. Electoral organizing is one part of how we will end this violence. We remain committed to this work while also taking time to cherish one another and the communities that nourish us this week. We hope you are doing the same.
