John,
There is no celebrating when lives are taken senselessly and horrifically as they were yesterday in Uvalde, Texas.
However yesterday was a big primary day for Working Families Party candidates, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge all the hard work they — and you — put into these critical campaigns.
Here are some updates on where things stand:
In TX-28, Jessica Cisneros is neck-and-neck in her runoff against Henry Cuellar. Cuellar's margin is currently less than 200 votes, with more ballots remaining to be counted. Over the last few weeks, we saw Democratic leadership trample over their own stated principles to boost Henry Cuellar — the last-remaining anti-choice House Democrat, and a man who has scored the highest marks from the National Rifle Association. Jessica ran such a courageous campaign, and we are still waiting for every ballot and eligible vote to be counted in this race.
Over in TX-15, it is also too close to call, with Michelle Vallejo currently in the lead by 23 votes! Michelle Vallejo is the kind of working class candidate we need in Congress and ran on a bold platform that puts working families first. She told supporters last night that she was “heartened by the clear path to victory.”
And in TX-30, WFP candidate Jasmine Crockett won her runoff last night and will be headed to the general election. Jasmine Crockett has been a Working Families champion since day one, and we can't wait to see what this fearless fighter does in Congress.
Last night’s winners will be joined on the ballot in November by an entire slate of WFP champions including Greg Casar in TX-35, Summer Lee in PA-12, and Jamie McCleod-Skinner in OR-5 — and if we can keep our momentum going, we can send them all to Congress to join a fast-growing Working Families majority next year.
These results show us once again how every single vote matters. But we need to come together now if we’re going to power our WFP candidates to victory through the remainder of the 2022 primaries, and then in November. Can you contribute $3, or any amount, to the Working Families Majority Fund today?

Big money Super PACs and corporate donors have made it clear that they will stop at nothing to defeat our candidates through the rest of the primary season and in November.
Your support today helps bring us all closer to a country that we can be proud of.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
