** IT’S TIME TO TURN THE PRESSURE UP ON WORLD LEADERS AND DRAW THE LINE AGAINST MALARIA
------------------------------------------------------------

,

Malaria No More UK is proud to share with you a star-studded, high-energy film produced for the global Zero Malaria Starts With Me movement.

A stellar cast of global stars has joined forces with malaria champions, scientists, advocates, and front-line health workers to turn the pressure up on world leaders, ahead of two game-changing moments in the malaria fight β€” The Summits of Leaders in Kigali next month, and the Seventh Global Fund Replenishment conference in the autumn.

With malaria deaths at their highest for nearly a decade, we need world leaders to increase their investments in the malaria fight and save millions of lives.

The film stars malaria champion David Beckham and FC Barcelona striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, as well as marathon world record-holder Eliud Kipchoge and Afropop singer Yemi Alade. They stand alongside leading scientists, health workers and advocates who are on the frontline of the malaria fight.

The Behind The Scenes film brings to life the making of the main hero film and explains how we can end this deadly disease for good within a generation, using new and existing tools – from testing and bed nets to vaccines. Success is dependent on the will and financial commitment of our leaders.

This new chapter of the Draw The Line campaign aims to turn the pressure up on world leaders, calling on them to commit to ending malaria at the Kigali Summit and invest funds totaling US$18 billion through the Global Fund.

Accounting for over half of global funding to end malaria, a fully replenished Global Fund is projected to enable countries and partners to reduce malaria deaths by 62%, treat 550 million malaria cases, and eliminate malaria from six more countries by 2026.

By uniting the world behind the youth-led Draw The Line campaign we can help unlock the potential of a Zero Malaria world, that will save millions of lives, strengthen global health systems and protect us all against future pandemics.
