Dear
Friend
—
I'm incredibly excited to announce that, starting next month, our
Long Beach Municipal Band will be back for their 113th summer concert
in the park season. We have the longest-running municipal band in the
country and concerts in the park have brought neighbors together to
enjoy free music as one community throughout their history.
The first concert of the summer will be on June 28 at Whaley Park.
All concerts are free to attend and begin at 6:30 p.m. The schedule
for this season is as follows:
-
Whaley Park – June 28 and July 5
-
Bluff Park – July 12, 19 and 26
-
Veterans Park – August 2
-
Los Cerritos Park – Wednesdays, June 29 through
August 3
- Larry Curtis Concert Park at Marine Stadium Park
– Thursdays, June 30 through August 4
-
El Dorado Park West – Fridays, July 1 through August
5
Each week's performances will incorporate a different theme so that
residents can enjoy a great selection of amazing music at their local
parks all summer long.
-
Week 1 (June 28-July 1): “United We Stand” – A salute
to American freedom through music.
-
Week 2 (July 5-8): “Give My Regards to Broadway” –
Enjoy magnificent Broadway music that has dazzled show audiences for
decades.
-
Week 3 (July 12-15): “Legends of Song” – Enjoy

Presley and more, with music that will cater to everyone’s
taste.

dancing shoes to enjoy these toe-tapping tunes. Conductor Kurt Curtis
has selected an array of dance music for all appetites.
